The FIVE METHODS OF ATTACK: JKD / FENCING

Single Direct Attack (Single Angulated Attack) ~
Commonly called SDA - fastest way from point A to point B. Explosive and smooth

Attack by Combination ~ ABC
This is a sequence of two or more single attacks. Easier said than done since upper and lower body timings must correlate. Djuru x Langkah = optimum effectiveness

Attack by Drawing ~ ABD
The Five Ways of Attack tend to get more complex, but never at the loss of simplicity of execution."Rope-a-dope" tactics. Ruse and bait, then make'em pay

Progressive Indirect Attack ~ PIA (indirect angular attack)
The fourth of the Five Ways of Attack is to move in a way that the opponent moves (mirroring), and then shift your intention and attack along another line. Deceptive & deadly with weapons

Hand (limb) Immobilization Attack ~ HIA (LIA)
This is a Wing Chun technique that has been slightly modified for Jeet Kune Do. A vital element in weapons usage. "Weapon immobilization" attack more accurately. Fencers employ trapping too. Suppression skills.
